Created for The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, this Interloopmailer® served as the official invitation to a gala dinner celebrating the centenary of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Crafted to honour a milestone

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation commissioned the Interloopmailer® to create a distinctive invitation for the 'Live a Legacy: A One Hundred Year Celebration' gala dinner.

Held on 26th May 2022, the gala dinner marked one hundred years since the birth of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. For an occasion of this significance, a standard invitation would not do. It needed to set the tone for the evening, reflect the importance of the celebration, and feel worthy of the guests receiving it.

Working closely with the Foundation’s marketing department, we developed an Interloopmailer® that would be the guests’ first experience of the event. Every detail was considered so that the invitation felt as memorable as the occasion itself, and fitting for those associated with HRH and with the International Award.

The Interloopmailer® gave the centenary celebration an invitation as distinctive as the occasion.

Arriving as the official invitation, the mailer opened the evening with a sense of occasion, setting expectations for a gala befitting such a landmark.

More than an invitation, it was designed as a statement piece and a collector’s item, something to be kept and treasured long after the evening itself. For guests connected to HRH and to the International Award, it became a memento of the celebration.

It has been an honour and a privilege to work so closely with the marketing team on a project that celebrates a remarkable legacy, and to show how thoughtful design can add meaning to an occasion of this importance.
